UY Illustrations & Assets

I was invited to work on this project in 2018 with the two founders of United Young (Now called Holy) and web designer Hamid Sallali. My role was to add illustrations to the app and landing page and sprinkle little detail assets here and there. A colour palette was built in close collaboration with the web designer and was a back and forth process including live testing within the design context.

Early sketch / warmups

First couple hours of the project I spent just putting shapes, colours and textures together to have a reference to our base next illustration decisions on.

The process was very hands-on, sparring-style in terms of feedback and collaboration. We would jump from screen to screen between client, illustrator and web designer to glue everything together. Working directly in the final product context is one of the most rewarding and motiviting aspects of designing.
