We're constantly looking for interesting artists on Instagram. We will be introducing them every tuesday in a series called Introtuesday. Please meet United Kingdom based touring printmaker and illustrator Printwagon.
What are you working on at the moment? Currently working on a comic book project with Cecil Sharp House, collecting together 30 established comic legends to create work based on Appalachian folk music with British roots.
Also Print Wagon is still motoring on and I'm having talks with a few galleries about solo shows and an exciting project which involves me travelling Wales and making artwork based on the experience.
What is your work process like? When making work I really don't think too much about it. It's almost a subconscious process, I have a general idea what I want to accomplish and each step reveals itself.
Favorite work snack? I find when I'm at the drawing board I always forget to eat but when I look at my watch I go: "shit!". I have the diet of an alleycat – I swing the fridge open and just eat anything I can... However as I type this I am eating bourbons (biscuits). They are my favourite at the moment.
Any personal projects on the side that you're excited about? I have a few reduction prints I'm excited about, an exhibition based on road house and some A1 screenprints. Check out www.print-wagon.com for details!
